48" wingspan, speed-480 motor geared from 2:1 to 3:1, props 9x5 to 10x6.
Flown 10/2002 - 6/2004. Videos taken November 2002 to May 2003, mostly at Orchard Downs, Urbana. Video reception improved with a Telex "flag" 802.11 yagi rx antenna (sometimes on my bike helmet, sometimes pounded into the ground), and a custom T-dipole tx antenna (white vertical soda straw at right in the videos). |
